I just found more platy fry in the tank the other day... I wasnt sure where they came from because I only have one female now that produces fry... the other ones dont get any action from the males and havent showed any signs of being preggers.... but than I got to thinking that since Big Blue died about a month ago, that maybe she dropped some fry before she died, and maybe that is why she died and not from old age... im really unsure, but it seems the most likely fit, seeing how that most are pure orange and a couple are blue (just like momma) so, now I have more fry to be proud of where they came from...big blue. Anyways, just thought I'd mention that I got more fry... and my female gold twin bar platy is ready to drop again... this will be her 4th batch without mating with a male... man she must've stored alot of sperm... anyway.. yeah my fry count is rising. Oh yeah, and she had just dropped a batch about 3-4weeks ago and they are not turning yellow, im kind of freaked out, they have always turned yellow in only a couple weeks, these ones are like white with the bars on the tails already developed, im kind of curious as to why this is, and whether they will eventually regain yellow coloration.. it has never taken this long to see color in her fry, and this batch of fry are completely white... weird.
