I have eventually given this baby a name.
'Sinatra' because of his blue eyes.

This second one is kind of an action shot.

I have had this guy a week. Doesn't seem that long but there you go doesn't time fly when you are having fun.

He is also very placid.
I have been trying to get him to flare for some really nice photos of him with his fins up but even when I use a mirror he just looks in and then swims up and down the tank. I don't think he is falling for that trick, I think he knows that it is me trying to get him to flare.
He hardly ever flares up though, I have had him a week now and someone has given me a couple of gouramis and I have had to put them in with him and they get on really well now. There was a little flaring from him when I put them in but apart from that they swim around the tank quite happily together.

He looks so cute. I just got a red betta a little over week ago he flared like craazy the first few days but now he just likes looking at his reflection. Does your betta have some iridescence (green or blue) on him too, or is he a fully extended red? Oh how I'ld like to get a fully extended red.

He has got some green and blue in him. He also has white flecks on his fins underneath.
