Yeah its outside I should have said, its in a under some trees (I am fish sitting for a friend who is in hospital) it really only gets direct sunlight for about 2 hours in the afternoon. I thought it would be algae heaven but its okay so far, its been running for two months and the plants are growing well. The Co2 has made a big difference in a few days. It looks like a bubble bath in the tank. I have a bunch of cabomba caroliniana that grew towards the front of the tank for the light, since the Co2 it gets so buoyant with pearling that it is standing tall and straight.
I like the outdoor tank and looking after these fish has rekindled my interest in keeping plants and fish. The only problems I have had are frogs jumping in from the patio at night,

I had to put up a little frog fence, not that they would do any harm, but I thought they would poo and scare the fish, they look huge by comparison to a cory. The cardinal tetras don’t seem to like full sun and retreat into the plants when the sun is on the tank.
Another thing I noticed the plants that (go to sleep) close their leaves by seven in the evening even if its bright.
That picture is only a few centimetres of plant. I would post a pic of the whole tank but all I can see in the pictures is a reflection of the garden and myself plus the tank is sitting on the ground and it’s a four footer so it’s hard to get a decent pic. I got lots of good pics of parts of the tank but haven’t yet managed to get the whole thing.
Rambling now!
