ok, I had posted a few days ago about having to replace a leaking tank, got good advice and was warned that a mini cycle could be heading my way. 29 gallon, 6 platys 4 guppys and a tiny catfish(yes i know the cory needs buddies, just wanted to be done with this mini cycle first) and they were right, levels were

day 1
a0/ni0/na20/ph8.2

day2
a less then .25/ni less then .25/na 20/ph8.2

day3 was exactly the same.

day 4
a seems to be 0/ni was a diffinate .25/ na 20/ ph 8.2

I assume just keep doing my water changes and keep testing, but its getting pretty frustrating. oh and I was told to cut down on feeding to every other day, and now my fish are eating and tearing apart my only living plant...I guess they are hungry, but my plant looks like its going to rot away and die now because they keep eating it.

I wont get any matura meadia from any lfs because I dont trust their tanks, and nobody else I know has fish that I can steal some media from. my sister has bettas...but she does major water changes several times a week so does not use a filter like mine.

oh I wish this cycle mess would end.

It looks like it probably won't last very long. You are doing the right thing. Stick at it! :good:

yeah agree with BTT, stick with it, should only take maybe a week/ 10 days in total so you're half way there

that is heading in a hopefull direction, I have been changing water for one reason or another almost every day since we got the fish. thanks you guys.
