stil waiting for reply in first 1 also i have about 12 plants in my 2 foot by 18 by 1foot and a half tank and how many fish can i stock shop man said 30 but not so sure also still waiting for cylcling to go threwn how long does it take normally if i put plant food in will it interrupt the cycle i did a 50%water change 2 days a go and same today coz amonia and nitrate nitrite are threw roof so they say it is nescserry summert about filter needs to keep up they dont seem to no a deal said it was easy :blink: thanz

Well it does depend on what fish you were looking at keeping, assuming you are looking for community fish that all max out at around 3inches or less, i would reccomend adding around 33inches of fish.

sounds like your doing fine with the cycling, keep doing the same until the ammonia and nitrite levels have dropped to 0

Agreed. 33" of adult sized fish each no more than 3" in length will be fine. Loads of options for that tank. I'm quite a fan of Harlequin Rasboras. Are you fishless cycling the tank using ammonia solution and using the add & wait method from the link in my sig.

will my plants survive just planted in the sand aswell i add sum plant grtoth stuff
