more fry!

i got 2 silver mollies the other day, male and female though not intentionally! anyway, since we got them they've been chasing each other round all the time and we just thought they were mating. boy were we wrong.

i got up this morning to 5 iddy fry in the tank. swiftly moved the adults in to my main tank and my other fry in to the smaller tank. so now we have 7 though whether all the silver ones will live is yet ot be found.

where do they all come from? i've now got 8 silver molly fry and there's no adults in the tank. whereare they all coming from?

Ok, i am a bit confused....Is the the tank the mollies was in when the fry were born...of r u saying that this is a tank that has never had an adult in it?

i have a smaller tank to put the fry in but had yet to put them in as i'd put my 2 new mollies in it on saturday.

i took them out this morning when i found 5 fry and once i'd taken them out found another 3 fry!

The mystery of the appearing fry!

I had a sword give birth and I thought there were only 2 survivors...a week later I had 15 (this after removing momma from the tank). They like to hide is all.

the fry r just coming out of hiding as they kno they will no longer have a chance at being eaten. i have seen this before i had a swordtail that looked to only have 6 fry but when i removed her i found 14 fry
