More Babies! (Molly)

OMG!

so the molly i have posted about a few times has finally given birth.. i got in from work to see her birthing tube thingy was open.. so i grabbed the quickest safest thing i could find (a large pan) and shoved 2 plants in, within 2 minutes out popped the first baby!

i have now put her back in the main tank and put all the babies in my 45l tank with my guppy fry (PLEASE say this is okay to do?!)

i have counted a total of 59 molly fry!!!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEK! so many...

Wow, that's a lot of babies!
You'll have to do regular daily water changes for the fry to grow properly as 45 litres for that amount of fry isn't really big enough as they get bigger
Hope you have somewhere to rehome them all too.

yeah i will be doing LOTS of water changes..

my tank is definately not big enough for them all! is there any chance a fish shop would take some (most) of them off my hands?

Tbh most Lfs won't take them, you could be lucky though so it's worth asking them.
In future it's best to let nature take it's course & don't try to save them all or you'll end up with a huge overstocking problem
