Hi all,

I want them for my 48" tank, I have know idea were to get them from?
Any help?

From a guy called GarlicBred31 on ebay - he hasn't any listed at the moment cos he's on holiday for a couple of weeks, but as soon as he's back they'll be listed again. He makes them to order and they are £15!

Type in aquarium in the search box.

Then on the left side click pet supplies

Then look for lighting

thx i finally got in....i wish ya could just contact these sellers with out joining up on e-bay, all i wana do is get a set of these LED lites they seem awesome, but im not about to frig around at a online auction lmao....anyone know where i can get a strip of these?????? with out this ebay aggravating site?>

lol.. You'll change your tune after you've used eBay a few times - it rocks! :D

seriously though - pop down to your local 'radioshack' and ask them for some ultrabright blue LED's and a mains adapter.

you'll need some resistors to stop them being blown up - just ask the shop guys - they'll sort you out.

:hyper: WHOA!! those moonlights looks absolutely amazing!!!!!
no wonder people want them :D

*adds moonlights to my list of aquarium "maybe-someday"s* :p

   YAY!!!!!!

I just set up my moon lites and man are they awesome!!!!! if you get these you will be so fasinated watching your fish when the lites are off!!!

anyway i did look at the sites ppl mentioned on here on ebay, but im in NEW YORK not U.K.and didnt feel like tinkering with soldering LEDS and then fig out how to attch um under my hood....so i have been searching and found exactly what everyone is building only its made real simple for ppl like me lol......

i found them online at PETCO but looked, and they do have them in the stores too but more $$$$$

anyway there called MIRACLE HI-LITE MODULES (dont confuse this with the lazer ones but is same company) anyway, it comes with a module that u can put up to 5 lites on, and comes with 2, one blue , one green, i bought 2 more blue ones so i have 4 in a 55gal...these are the same LED lites everyone is talking about, but these are submersiable and have lil mounts on suction cups with pretty long wires, so u can put them anywhere u want to high lite the tank, i put all 4 of mine along top front just under rim (i have a perfecto 55) i have the transformer attched to OUTSIDE LOL of right of tank with suction cups provided, then i knotched out a hole and ran wires along tank top edge with suction cups THAT come on lites (there real small too + u cant see um under rim which is cool)i also used a cpl more suction cups u get at pet store for air lines to keep the wires neat and in a nice run...THEY MAKE A NICE NEAT RUN and u can adj the beam to position lite, mine point down towards back of tank looks really cool!!!! and the best part is its easy and they are water proof!!!!

the hi-lite system does come with a green LED as well as one blue but i used all blue, but the green is cool, its jsut that blue i think represents natural moonlite. these give off a really cool dim glow, so far the fish seem fine..besides there is always some kind of natural lite in nature anyway, so im sure im not *keeping them up lol!!!* only i pull the ALL-NITERS!! LOL....

SOOOOOOO if your not real swift at tinkering with stuff like me, these are the ticket..
the hi-lite system with the 2 LEDS it comes with was $22.99 (on sale)
the add on BLUE LEDS were 9.99 (come with wire, jack , + suction cup)

i think they were 34.99 in the store.. 10.99 for xtra lites..

NOW I KNOW U CAN DO IT CHEAPER building your own, so hey knock yourself out lol IM LAZY..........LOL

TRY UM!!!!
