Hi.Ive seen numerous "moonlight" tubes you can buy for the tank, which simulates the moonlight effect at night (on "ebay").
I have a "Jewel Rio" bow fronted tank, and i dont have a "hood" as such...just pieces of plastic which forms the roof of the tank,so i dont think the lights ive seen advertised would be suitable as they have to be kept dry.
Is it possible to get "moonlights" that can be submerged???

yes it is, I've just got some from ebay
this is the seller I purchased them from

Hi...I am building my own moonlight as I have hood issues also. None of the moonlights fit my hood. If you have a little bit of time and don't mind a project, you can download a manual $4.95) and/or buy the parts or the light itself at thelebos.com. I downloaded the manual, purchased the parts and it is pretty simple. Good luck. SH
