Moonlight Led's Advice

Good evening all,

I've been toying with the idea of adding blue LED's to the tank to simulate moonlight andto also enable me to observe the nocturnal behaviour of my fishies.

I have done a little research into the subject and there appears to be a number of options available - submerged LED spots, attach spot LED's to tank hood, strip LED's similar to a rope light...).

I was wondering if anyone would like to share their recomendations/experiences of the method they use. Is one method superior to the other, is there any detrimental effect to the fish?

I am currently running a Fluval Vicenza 180 with the standard T-bar and flaps and would prefer any installation to be non intrusive and not hinder tank maintenance too much.
