i have herd how to tell them apart but still find it hard cuz im not too shore on how they look side by side .......................i have 3 and would like it if i new for shore wich they are .............from what i gather its not same as the three spot the moonlight have the same lenth top fin right?

It's a while since I kept these fish. Don't the males have the orange/red region on the throat and pelvic fins ("feelers") like the other Trichogaster species? Those on the females are not coloured, so will be grey or green in comparison.

Nice fish, by the way.

Cheers,

Neale

i have herd the female have yellow or lighter color too region of there pelvic fins ("feelers") and the males an orange red but i have not seen a good pic of how they look difrent so not 100% shore how it would look in real life cuz each fish are difrent yo0u can get ones with brighter or duller colors so you realy need to no what it looks like befor calling it male or female  so i need a pic of male and female so i hope some one has some :D

They don't have a red-orange color (sounds like you are confusing them with pearls) on their body at all. The only part where color can play a role in sexing them is when, if in breeding condition, the male has darker red-orange pelvic/ventral fins while the female's are yellow. Don't attempt to use this to sex them though as it's only obvious while they are breeding. The mroe reliable way of sexing adults, IMO, is to look at body shape as male looks longer, thinner and more streamlined while females are deeper-bodied, fatter and, if viewed from above or the front, are wider round the belly area behind the head. Also ntoe that, ocne fully grown (at around 6-7"), males are larger than females.

I'll look for pics later and post them but, for the time being, do you think you could post some side-on pics of the fish you want sexed?

edit: I googled for pics but couldn't find any that were already sexed nor any that were very clear as far as the differences go. Here are a male and female though:
