Moonlight Gourami currently dying see pic. He lays down then gets back up again but not interested in food. He looks very thin likes hes lost weight.

Water fine all other fish fine - any ideas what may have happened or what I can do to save him?

Thanks

It's hard to tell what might have happend from that info, apart from to say that's one very sick fish and probably won't last long :-(

Can you get some plants in there, or a cover; it'll be very stressed in a bare breeding trap like that.

I shall add some cover for him.

There not a lot else I can say to describe the fishes predicament really. There are no signs of infection or anything to suggest he was assaulted.

Not very nice seeing this, really liked him :-(

How long have you had the little guy? It looks like how some of my fish have gone when they were very old.

We all sometimes lose a random fish and there's maybe nothing you could have done.

If your water's good and all the other fish are fine, then try not to feel too bad and blame yourself (I know that's easier said than done; I always feel awful when I lose a fish too)

Only had him for 2 months, I did buy a pair but the other one recently mysteriously disappeared so I'm guessing its related.

I hope I've done everything I can. Thank you for your kind words, it does make me feel a bit better :good:

Aww, I'm sorry for your loss :-(
