Mondo Grass (ophiopogon)

Has anyone tried to grow Mondo grass? I should of done my research but the price caught my eye. They say that this is not a true aquatic plant. I bought some pretty cheap, but should I bother trying to plant it?

Mondo Grass is not an aquatic, but it is a really tough plant that takes a long time to die. It tends to hold it's shape for months. As long as it was cheap and you know it is a transient, sure, plant it, you've not been ripped off.

Thanks. I guess it can't hurt to try growing it. Do happen to know if it needs a lot of light?
