my mollie was pregnant for six weeks give or take a few days,i cant help you with the question on the birth tank as i dont use them,good luck with the fry,all the best donna .
I've never had mollies, but if everyone says 6 weeks, it must be 6 weeks
I think mollies are too big for breeder boxes. It might be better to place her in a seperate tank (a few gallons or so). Have you got an extra tank for fry? If you do, and it's empty, you could put her in there so you don't have to move fry.
You should move her to the tank around the middle of her 6th week, or a little before if she starts looking "like she's about to pop"
