I have an adult molly who is pearl with orange dusting coloration. She is extremely pregnant looks ready to pop. Since she is housed in my 45gl community tank, I recently moved her to a breeding net. ( Both other females have given birth only to have all fry gobbled by other fish.) A couple days ago her tail started looking slightly crooked. She has been very pregnant for almost 2 months and still won't give birth(been in breeder for week and a half). She is eating well, swimming fine, and seems her normal happy self. I have been doing 20% water changes every other day, and 50% every 2 weeks. She is eating a varied diet of frozen blood worms, flake food, zuchini, and ocassionally brine shrimp. What am I doing wrong? Why is her tail becoming crooked?
