Hi all! I have a female molly that has what looks like a swollen (extended) bottom lip. What is this???? She has quit eating. She is in a brackish sg 1.005 35 gallon tank.

Thanks for any input :)

could be mouth fungus (Columnaris). Have a look in the disease section and see if there is any info on it. I have to go beddie bies otherwise I would stay and help. But Wilder and others are online and they are pretty good.

The common name of columnaris is misleading, it's actually bacterial (gram negative). If Colin is right you'll need an antibacterial medication.

What other fish are in the tank?

can you get a photo, you may find she has just had a altercation with one of the other fish and is just abit swollen.

Ok, I just tried to take pics, but I have a crappy camera that couldn't capture the lip at all well enough to see.

The only way I can explain is it's like her bottom lip is extended twice it's size, and flat looking. And she is eating but very very minimal. I have her in a hospital tank with aeration and filtration and water from her original tank and and I have her on Furan-2. I am hoping the meds do the trick.
