Molly with a black spot

Hi, my female molly has a black spot on her abdomen, it's not anything on the skin, it looks like a really bad bruise, or as if you can suddenly see a dark internal organ or something. It certainly wasn't there last week. It's probably about 1/3 centimetre across. Is it just normal colouration change, constipation, or something like an internal parasite? Although she still eating and actually has put on weight lately, and doesn't seem ill.

Any advice/info much appreciated!

what color is the molly, is it posible she is Pregnant, and it her gravid spot you are seeing??

She's gold - I never even considered her being pregnant cos she's only little and I have no male mollies (but one male swordtail). I've had her about 4 weeks. I guess she could have been pregnant when I got her..... oh 'eck..... These are my first ever fish. She doesn't look 'square' just a bit plump and with the black mark on one side of her abdomen only.

It posible that she is pregnant when you got her, I know some females hold on to there fry if there water conditions are not to there liking.

Personaly I would'nt worry if she pregnant just let nature take it caurse if you have no where for the fry.
