I have a male molly (orange sailfin breed) in my 30G cube. He's been in there for several months. I was sitting here watching the tank and noticed he's swimming funny. His whole body seems to wag when he swims, including his head. It looks like an over-exaggerated attempt to swim. He's still very fiesty, munching on everything in the tank and chasing the girls like normal, but it seems like there must be something wrong with him. Any idea on what would cause that kind of behavior? I've also noticed that his top "sail" fin has been clamped for most of the day, which is out of the ordinary.
It's a 30G, stats are good - 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 60 nitrate, ph 7.4 (I've had to buffer it with seachem alkaline buffer about a week ago because when I stepped up CO2, my ph when through the floor).
His tankmates are 2 angels, 4 mollies, 2 rubber lip plecos, 5 otos, and 3 swordtails.
The other thing that changed is that I added a piece of driftwood yesterday. I took all the precautions that have been suggested, and then some in prepping it for the tank.
