hi hope someone can help
we have a 60 litre tank all levels are good we have had a tank for 8 months now
we change water ,10 %monthly and we have lost the odd fish but they have never shown anything wrong with them .
we now have 2 mollys 12 various tetras and 2 small catfish in our tank.
now one of the mollys has like a white cloudy fungus? over his eyes ,the other fish is clear as are all the other fish.it does not look like whitespot as we have treated for that in first couple of months and it just doesnt look like that.it doesnt look like popeye either as i have searched forums and seen piccys but i cant seam to find anything like this cloudy eye/eyes

any help would be greatly appreciated

from steve

ps sorry if this is not an emergency

No the mollies eating the catfish pellets shouldn't do anything. My fish eat the shrimp pellets I throw in for the bottom feeders all the time.

Cloudy eye is usually brought on by bad water conditions. Water changes should help, however if you feel like you want to medicate. You can use a bacterial medication.

could u recommend a brand of treatment please?
thanks from steve

Penicillin or amoxicillin can be used. However do not combine both medications.

Also API's Triple Sulfa may be used.

Those are three different treatment options. Best of Luck!

*Also depending on the type of catfish you have you may want to remove them during treatment, or isolate the sick fish. It's probably easier to just isolate the sick fish.
