one of my mollies is sorta rocking from side to side, and when he swims he does so in a funny jerking motion, his body doesnt seem to be moving properly, wot could be wrong with him...?

Can the fish maintain it balance in the water.

no, its got worse today, he's sorta got his head down, and his back end seems paralysed.

Sorry it's not sounding very good, can you issolate the fish does the fish look weak.

yea he looks very weak, im...im starting to think mayb sumthing attacked him and paraylsed his lower body....i took him out of the tank he was in and put in a different one where i know he's not going to be bothered...so if he is going to die he can do so in peace.

Sorry he sounds in a bad way yes just let him die in peach, do you no which fish that might of done this to him.

in peach lol! hmmmm there has been a recent addition to the tank he was in a dwarf gourami whose a bit feisty, i keep calling it 'he' but its really a she....a male molly has also been getting a bit feisty lately but why would he attack a female...there the only 2 culprits i can think of..

Sure he's been attacked and not injured itself in the tank on something, or got stuck and got free.

there's no where for it to get stuck really, but i guess ill never know! -_-

Just keep an eye on him add some salt to his tank one tablespoon to 5 gal of water, if the fish looks like it's suffering it might be nicer to put it out of it's misery.

yea i know..i have some clove oil, if he looks like he's really suffering i'll use it! thanks for ur help 'again' lol!

You can add vodka as well to that, good luck hope you don't have to.

I have a molly in the same condition he seems to be paralyzed or somthing. When I got him at the lfs he jumped right out of the tank and landed on the floor (my first fish, dalmation molly, named him FLIPPER) should have picked a different one but joked and said he really wants to come home w/me so I still took him. Had him in my 40 gallon for about 2 weeks he swam funny like his backend was broken, then introduced a Powder blue dwarf gourami all of the sudden I have a missing molly(still have not found a week later) so I bought a hospital tank this weekend and put the PBD Gourami and the molly w/broken backend (sometimes only stays on top sometimes only on bottom) in the hospital tank. I dont know if the molly got injured at the fish store when he jumped out or mabey the gourami did somthing (I do think he ate my other molly) just watching them together in the tank so far so good. But can fish injure themselfs by jumping out like that and is there somthing I can do for him. I have had him about 3 to 3 1/2 wks now. PS he (molly)is eating just fine, as for the gourami he did not eat for a week and 2 days bought some brine shrimp and he ate for the first time yesterday. (mabey he was full of my other molly for a week)
