When i got home from school today i spotted that my mollly had been attacked its seems as if his top lip has just dissapeared, previously it had been chasing other fish whether it got attacked by the other fish coz they had enough i dont know.
Or is this some kind of disease?

Thanks :D

wat other type of fish are kept with the molly? I dont know of any diseases involving the loss of a lip

Columnaris (mouth rot) very common in livebearers normally starts with some sort of stringy cotton like substance coming from the fishes mouth.

Best thing to do is get some pics up.

Agreed! My molly had columnaris but I caught it and treated it quite early..as soon as I saw the fungus on mouth. I always take close looks at my fish to make sure they all look healthy. Did you notice anything on the fish the day before? If its columnaris I would check the levels in your water to make sure they are right! :good: If it is columnaris once the lip is gone I believe it is gone forever!

Columnaris can rot the mouth away, don't like saying this but once the mouth rotted best of destroying the fish.
Sorry.

i got home from school today and i dont know how but it has disappeared. This has happened before but i thought it was my eel, but now the eels gone im starting to think the fish died and the pleco's ate it? how quick can 2 pleco's eat a dead molly?

Dependant on the size of the plecs ive seen my 3 4-5" bns devour a quarter of cucumber over night right down to the skin so a small fish may not be a problem in a couple of hours.

You really should get some anti bacterial meds if your other fish have eaten the molly you could be a sure crash course of loosing every single fish in the tank.

I would preform some daily water changes on the tank aswell.
