Had my molly for about a month now. Just noticed today he is lying down at the bottom of the tank in amongst hairy tank roots. He looks like he is trying to sleep or is resting. I have a feeling thi isnt normal??

Can you post water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph, is the fish bloated or darkened in colour, any physical signs of illness like, fungus,spots, anything to go on.

pH=6.8
NO3= 10
NO2= 0
I don't have a test for ammonia but I will do a water change.
Looks perfectly normal otherwise. He got up when I approached the tank and I fed them a little and he ate. I was just surprised to see him sat there. I have a cory that likes to sleep/rest high up in elodea I have. Its only the one that does it.

Just keep an eye on them, the panda keep an eye on him as mine don't do that only for a few minutes but not all the time laying high up in the tank, only thing i can think of if they had darkened in colour is a bacteria infection.

Yeah hmmmmmm. Its cute when my cory does it. He sometimes lies on his back with his little whiskers twitching. It could be that the molly was hiding from Hamish my flame dwarf gourami. He gets a hard time from him because the molly is really pretty and a bright yellow. Hamish is jealous I think.

:lol: Never seen my cories lay on there back, don't no if that is normal or not, post in the catfish forum if you are worried some experts there.
