Molly Id?

I have a molly, not sure what kind he is, he is black with brown blotches, think brown-and-black dalmation, but he has a few incredibly pretty, gold, reflective scales. His dorsal fin is pretty big compared to the black molly girls I got him for company. Not like a sailfin, but still pretty big.

Any ideas? Store had him labled as 'Molly', so I want to know his true name. I'll try to get a picture up.

Also, is it possible to bread him and his offspring so they have more of the gold scales?

I believe the term used to describe Mollies that have multiple colors is Calico, much like in cats. You can make that fish with a Gold Molly, but really there are no guarantees. I had a completely yellow Molly give birth to all black offspring as well as yellow and mixes.
