I have 2 x male black mollies, 1 x female black mollie, 1 x female dalmation mollie & 2 x female silver mollies.

Until the last few days all has been fine in my tank. Now though my 2 male blacks are harrasing the life out of my female black, every time she ventures out from a hiding hole they chase her relentlesley. Neither of the males show any interest in the dalamation or the silvers though.

What can I do to sort them out? I'm guessing I will have to introduce another back female to relieve the pressure on my current one?

Amonia = 0.00
Nitrite = 0.00
Nitrate = 5ppm
Ph = 7.8
GH = 15

New additions = 3 panda corries about a week ago.

Thanks

Mick

Yeah I would buy a few more black females in you should have 2 females to 1 male.

Thanks for this.

My local LFS only had 2 female black mollies in so I've added them. The males are still being bullies but I'll see if things settle down through today, currently my original female is hiding in the plants. If things dont improve I may rehome the males in a new tank.

Hmmmmm close watching of the situation has shown that just one of the males, the large one, is causing problems. He is being extremely aggressive to all the black mollies, including the other male, but singling out the original black female who he has chased to the point of exhaustion.

I've netted him & stuck him a breeding trap to give them some respite. I'm really not sure why his personality has changed so much in 24 hours, no sign of any illness in him.

Anyone got any ideas what it may be & what the hell I'm going to do with him?
