i have a

JEBO R 750 tank..im not sure how many gal it is but in it i have 5 tetras [one recently died] this weekend we are going to buy 4 female mollies and 2 males!! i am very excited and cant wait till they breed.

my only problem is...i heared that mollies can have around 50 babies and i dont want to many as my tank is to small....i was planning not to get a breeder net or tank and just let it happen naturally as i dont want to many to survive  but they can still hide in the plants! i dont know what to do!!!

anyway...my main question is this....
if my mollies do breed and have to many babies...i would need a new tank right? well....i dont want to spend money on a new heater nd filter and stuff...so i was wondering if i can put them in a old fish bowl of mine...and if so....for how long will they last in that..because since they are tropical fish..they would have a heater and all that!

i hope i dont sound too cruel :-(

but...
thankyou for ANY help you may give

Hi fish-fanatic, if your mollies have loads of babies and you just let them get on with it i doubt that many will servive but if you stick the babies in a fish bowl they will most probably all die because theres no filter filtering the water which means theres not going to be much oxygen in the water and also nothing heating the water, your best bet is to maybe set up a corner of the tank with a few plants so that they can have somewhere safe to grow up or maybe you should just get only females or males and save all the bother....hope this helps as i'm not an expert

My black mollie gave birth a few nights ago. She was put in a breeding net beforehand and my daughter transfered the babies to another net as she had them. We ended up with approx 40 live and 7 dead. They are quite amazing and growing rapidly but we will now have to buy another tank to grow them on.

Anyone want some black mollies?
