I have three female balloon mollies and one male balloon molly. My daughter just spotted two baby fish in the tank there both orange looking. My problem is I dont know which Molly just gave birth! None of them really looked pregnant. My three females are Pure orange,Orange w/ white strips and pure black. Also I was wondering why there was only two?? i thought they had like 15.. Is she still giving birth or did they eat the other babies?? Can anyone help with these Qs?

If you have a lot of hiding spaces in your tank the babies might just be hiding and you might not see them. The adult mollies could have eaten them though.

It depends how many plants you have for them to hide in. If you want your mollies to breed, put lots of plants, real or fake in your tank to give babies hiding places. I wouldn't recommend breeding nets, as my mollies both died after they gave birth because I used one. My sister left her swordtails in their well planted tank and they weeded out the babies, so now she has three babies left which is the right number for her to keep.

i had a molly once and it had 101 baby fries but sadly only one survived  ay
