My black molly is going grey very quickly.
He is almost the same colors as a marble molly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is this normal???????
Or is he just aging gracefully?
I can supply pics if you need them.

I have had him for about 10 months...

Is there any other change in bahaviour - like shimmying, flicking or not eating etc? If there are no 'bad' symptoms then you should be able to get his colour back by feeding him live foods. Sometimes if they are left in darkness for long, they tend to lose color as well.

There has been no change in feeding times lights on or off etc.
everything is normal. (maybe he is bored?)
I have even brought 2 new girlfriends to add to his harem. :(
He is still eating swimming etc just getting whiter...

Have you ever tried to feed your molly color-enhancing food?
The latest batch of food we have is color enhancing...
Hmmmmmmmmmmm could this be doing it?
I will post a few pics of him.
Before and after pictures

:D just looks like a normal colour change. some fish as they mature change colour. nothing to worry about.

Its probably a natural occurance. Black mollies don't exist in nature, they were manufactured by breeders. Their natural color is more of a greyish with black flicks. This molly could be getting its full color as it matures, most pet stores sell immature fish and many don't get their full color until they are adults.
