In my 80 litre tank I've got 6 female mollies (2 silver, 2 orange, 2 black/orange marbled) and 4 small silver molly fry.

A few days back I invested in a male silver molly, who so far is only really interested in one of the female silver mollies. He shows some interest in the other female silver molly and no interest in the 4 other different coloured ones.

Is this normal? I'm starting to worry about the harrased female one, she looks lethargic and not too happy. Is there anything I can do?

You say this but I'm the opposite as I have 2 male silver sailfin mollies and one silver female they don't touch her with a barge poll and the same for my 2 male orange sailfin mollies with my orange and black female. Luckily enough for me I have enough females in my tank to divert their attention and I'm planning on getting more females as it always helps the others out with harassment.

Unless you want same coloured fry then it can be a issue but all I can think of is try adding a couple more same coloured females as this might help kick start them off into a mating frenzy

Don't feel bad I have 6 platies and my males seem to stick to their own. I have 3 pandas and 3 sunset red and the male panda only picks on the female pandas.

I have solved the problem:

I added competition. :good:

There's now a new black male molly swimming round, and they both seem to interested in all the other females.;)

Job done.
