I have a molly (named Sil) who is by far the oddest fish I have ever had. She's flicking against the heater.... not the plants, gravel, decorations... just the heater, and only when it's off.... it's the weirdest thing I have ever seen. At first I thought she was too cold, but I noticed the heater wasn't on... and she just rubs her tummy and her back fins on it (and she's pregnant too).... She'll only do it like 4 times, then swims off and won't do it again til the next day...

Any idea what the heck she's doing? No one has signs on Ich- tank is very healthy A: 0 NI: 0 NA: 10 PH: 7.3 Temp: 83°F

Dont have huge experience with mollies but have had a platy do that in the past. Two possibilities:
1. She has a skin parasite of some sort(unlikely if she only does it now and then) check the scales.

2. Her fry have got the wiggles, or she just has an itch shed like to scratch(yes fish have itches too, not just the disease), which has become habit. Keep a good eye on her though.

Hope this helps: with my old platies it was just an wiggly mother.
