Molly Advice Needed

Hi

I have a tank with mostly mollies in it, there is 1 female i originally bought from the shop along with another female and a male, but they have since passed on and all the others are what have been born in the tank. I think I'm getting overrun with mollies now as the last 2 lots of fry born were left in the open tank and not put in a breeding box and they are still going strong weeks later.


Anyone know why they werent eaten?

What do you do with excess molly babies?

It looks like I've gotta buy another tank to seperate males and females now

hi,
some mollie will eat the fry others wont bother, you could try and trade them at a local pet shop for food or a small amount of cash, or place an add in a shop or newspaper. you may have to give them away.
you could take the male back or give him away and just have girls, but they will carry on having fry for up to 6 batches, because they store sperm.hth donna
