I used to feed my Molly once a day with some flakes (about 10 of them). I slowly feeding them more times nowadays. I have tried to feed them about 10 times yesterday, yet they still went for it crazily. This really made me confuse in how much shall I feed them. They could eat a lot, I tried to feed them more yesterday because my female guppy was giving birth in the community tank, I was thinking of feeding them more food so that they won't disturb the female guppy or eat the fry, end up they still chasing the fry crazily.

Are they hungry or .... ??

My mollies never get full. They would eat until they blew up if I let them. I think they just don't know when to quit.
As for the fry it is kind of like getting fed something that you like all the time, then all of a sudden someone throws in your favorite. You are going to try to eat it even if you are full because you don't know when you will get it agian. I figure this because mine can have food just put in, and they will fight to get to the fry. They will even start eating them before they are out good. It is like they are trying to suck them out of her. I can't let them deliver in the tank if I want any fry. I even had one of my fish injured where they come out from being bitten so much.

Thank u ICEEGRL.

They really eat non-stop, but I did njoy seeing them chasing for their food happily... But I hate seeing them chasing for the little cute fry and eat them alive! But this is the nature yeah.

Anyhow this batch I got about 30 fry, quite happy with it... :)

Fish will always eat more. They don't have quite the same kind of receptor that says "You're full", which is why it's up to us to not overfeed. You might want to try giving them some veggies or algae to pick at during the day. I usually have veggies in the tank with my Mollies. Cucumber, Zucchini, Lettuce...they like pretty much all of them. It's a good idea to soften the veggies up a bit though, by blanching, steaming, microwaving them in a little water..etc. :)

I have never tried putting in vege into my tank...

I am just curious on this, if I have soften the veggies and put in the tank, how long shall I leave it in there? Few hours or few days?

For fry, sometimes I will feed them some hard-boiled egg yolk. They seems love it... :)
