Mollies

Hi all

I have 2 females and 3 male Mollies. Both the females look rather large (the one is very large). Both females have one male following them around everywhere! The other male tries to get in between the others but he gets chased/nipped away. Right now the females (at different ends of the tank) are going up and down the corner of the tank, with the males following. The one male looks like he is smacking the one female in the side/rear end with his tail.

Is this behavior normal?

Do they keep on breeding, even if they are holding?

hmmm not normally i dont think. although they might just be carrying on wilst the male makes sure she is preggaz...

As of now she is very big, at least 3 time the size of the biggest male. The other female is somewhat smaller although again she is lager then the males...When I say larger; I mean both size and belly.

Interesting...I spoke with the person I received them from, and he thinks that with in the last month or so, they have started to get bigger.... They must be holding, that male must just be ...well.... rowdy <lol>

mine do that they constantly keep going up and down up and down i think it there courtship

It is rather amusing to watch…really funny when the single male comes over and tries to go up and down with them, the three of them start bumping into each other until the other guy gets really upset and chases him off
