Ok So I got 5 mollies yesterday, sort of orange speckly. When I got them home I noticed there was one female and 4 males which I think might be a problem. Then they started shimmering, so I put some aqua salt in and this morning they are really perky and eager to eat. I want to put a "cleaning" fish in like a cory. thingy but will the salty water agree with them? if not what can I put in with them to clean the tank up? Thanks

How much salt have you added? hardy Corys and plecs like Ancistrus should be able to stand very low end salt levels

You will have problems with 4 males and 1 female.
I would recommend at least 2 females per male, so in my opinion i would take back some of the males and get females instead or if you have room and a mature tank getting more males. Otherwise you female will get very stressed and probably get ill and die.

Mollies prefer and seem to do better in a brackish tank, however i would not recommend salt with Corys or plecs at all, they may survive but will not like it, and you will not be doing them any favors.

Scaleless fish such as corys can be harmed even by small amounts of salt, you should not add any at all imo...

First you need to take 3 males back and replace them with females. 1 male to 3 females is best but in your case 1-4 will be better..

Mollies do like salt yes, but most fish stores dont use salt for them (ask your lfs if they did) so its not really needed to change the type of water they are use to.

Your other option is to take the female back and buy another male. The all male tanks i have seen are peaceful because there's nothing to mate with. If there's a female they will just follow her all day and drive her crazy. Mollies are sperm wasters all the way.
