hi

i have a trio of mollies i bought them from a breeder near my home

these were from a freshwater tank

mine are in freshwater and are doing very well

the bigger of the females had babys a few weeks back i managed to save 3 and put them in my fry tank

a few days later they died

this morning my other female had her babys a saved 15 this time and have put them over in the fry tank

my question is should i add salt ? even if the parents/ grandparents have never been in salt water. i have guppies ,endlers baby apple snails in the fry tank so wouldnt really want to add salt

what do you think?
thanks

They should not need any salt then.

The snais would not like it for sure.

Do a 50% water chane in the fry tank
replace 25% tap water
and 25% main tank water

This will reduce the stress of moving tanks quickly
