My mollie had babies some time ago - three of the babies' eyes seem to bulge out.

They have been like it since I can remember and they are now 6 weeks old (maybe more- can't remember exactly). Could it be pop-eye or is it just be the way that they are?

They seem fine and active. Are there any other signs of pop-eye?

Baby fish have pretty "buggy" eyes, so it's more likely the fish are fine.

Pop-eye is where one or both of the eyes protrudes way beyond normal. Often it's only one of the eyes, which is a good clue to the problem being pop-eye. It's caused by a variety of things, from too many small bubbles in the water through to physical injury. Pop-eye is really a symptom, not an actual disease, so the cure will depend on the problem. Often, it goes away by itself. If the cause is bacterial, then a general anti bacterial treatment may help. It isn't contagious.

Cheers,

Neale
