Mollies & Platies

I have 1 lone Male Mollie, He is a real prety boy and he likes to chase around my female platies, he shows off to them and then chases them around?
Do they breed? or is Platies and guppies?
I cant seem to remember

He might try to breed with the platies, I doubt highly that they can cross breed. But i'm not entirely sure. If you want babies get a female molly and some will pop out in 30-60 days.
