Mollies Not Breeding...

So I have had my mollies for 4 months, possibly more.. losing track of time

I had 1 male with his 6 females, and not ONE has ever fallen pregnant. I found out though that my male had brain damage, he died a few days ago after living for 4+ months But would his brain damage have been the issue with them not breeding?? If I added a new male is there a chance they actually will? It's strange that my guppies and platy have had countless fry since I got them but the mollies never have

If you add a new male without "brain damage", I'm sure you will have fry in no time at all. Sick fish tend not to pro-create. "Honey, I have a headache"....know what I mean?
