The water stats are fine (stupid tanks not cycled but ammonia .25, nitrite 0, nitrate >10, ph 8.4 but thats normal for here) temp is at 79F and the water is hyper-oxygenated if anything (planted, bubble filter, bubble wand in addition to the HOB filter.)

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong/different with them. One was trying to look like Kate Moss for awhile but lately (past week or so) has been gaining weight again. The other that has been doing it is a dalmation molly so its kinda hard to see if there are white spots or anything but best as I can tell, there is nothing visibly wrong with it.

right now they are swimming ok, but they have been doing this off and on all day. Can there be too many bubbles in the water?

Thanks!

What size is the tank?
How many fish are in it?
What types of fish are in the tank?
Do you use salt for the mollies??

It's a 10 gallon, but I have a 50 gallon that is doing a fishless cycle and plan on moving them to it when it is done. The tank is overcrowded  cause I didn 't know what I was doing when I got them. There are 3 mollies (one I haven't seen gasping), 4 cories, 2 blackskirt tetras, and one platy. Because of the cories, I haven't been using salt.

Fish will die in bad water quality it takes its toll on them.
Immediate water change and increase aeration in the tank.
