Mollie Has A Red Rash And Cant Use Its Tail

ive got 1 mollie left after 3 have died i come home from skool to find it has a red rash lump coving the torso before tail wat should i do ?

and i can afford a water test kit

Well i would perform a water change for now, take your water to be tested at the lfs, and tell them to write the reading down for you, if the fish has red patches is sounds like septicemia due to poor water quality, and you will need a very good bacterial med if the septicemia hasn't progressed.

I would use a med. such as maracyn-two, I had a swordtail die from septecemia, so I treated the tank with the maracyn-two and had no other sypmtoms or breakouts, just healthy fish.
