Mollie Fry

Hi, I have kept Dalmation Mollies since August last year but I have never seen the fry being born. So I wondered how big are they? I have some fry in my tank at the moment they are approx 1/2 " (.5 centimetres) . That is head to tip of tail. I wondered how old they might be or is that the size when they are newly born? That does seem rather large for a not so big fish considering they usually have lots at the same time. Thanks.

Well, ir wont always be the same. But I'm pretty sure you'll see around 1/4 of an inch. That's how big my friends newly borns were, but they could have been small. I know sometimes they can be 1/2 inch though.

Thanks, I just wondered. They are born quite large aren't they? I thought they would be too small to see.
