My mollie who i talked about ina a previous post...http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=181999 has died.

She got better and didnt have her problem anymore, or didnt seem to, she was swimming about fine and the red area had gone.

I found her this morning, she'd lost most of her balloon molly plumpness. I dont know if this is normal or not. I really dont know what could have gone wrong though

From whatever disease she had. Or she was just old, without a test kit it is impossible to tell.

Although you don't see it in humans, stress is the same for humans. If you stress humans constantly they will also die, but fish can't just leave the tank. Poor water conditions can lead to stress. Undersized living conditions cause stress too. Did you ever measure your water levels?

any thing on this planet has the ability to pass away even when in the clear, illness or circumstances weaken the body and even when they seem out of the storm, the pressure of healing themselves has taken its toll and the body goes into shock sometime afterwards, as common in the elderly (bless them) we read or hear about this happening in everyday life and all we can do is try our hardest to care back to health.
its a cruel world, but as long as there is someone there who cares then thats the way i would want to go....hopefully not for years yet.

you did what all of us would do, so dont blame yourself for just caring/loving

Im very sorry for your loss. Ive heard that swim bladder is common in balloon mollies because they are altered to be the shape they are and they are born wih a damaged swim bladder. I have 2 balloon mollies myself so when you find out what happened can you please let me know. Thank you :good:
