Mold on red root floaters?

I was checking my 10g which holds my gudgeons and I saw this on some of the red root floaters I have in there. What is it and is it harmful?

I don’t think it is harmful I would clean the plants off my just rinsing them under the faucet and do some water changes. I get mold in my tank and it seems to go away on its own after I do this.
