My youngest mogurndas keep spawning, and I decided to hatch the eggs for once :)
So far, I call this a success :D

Hey that's great news! How did you get them to spawn? Or did they not need any encouragement?

That's awesome, Dwarfs!! Congrats on the fry! :good:

Whatcha feeding them? My guess would be that with the plant growth that I see in that tank, there is gonna be plenty of infusoria for them, but they will soon be needing something else!

ATM, yes, they are probably eating whatever little things there are moving around in that tank. I will have to find something to feed them in a week or so, before they start eating one another

Congratulations on the spawn.

They will be able to take fresh hatched brine shrimp within a week, within 3 weeks they will start eating the smaller and weaker siblings and chopped bloodworms, within a month they will be able to take adult brine shrimp and whole bloodworms. Morgurndas grow fast and are incredibly greedy, expect only around 1/3 of the spawn to survive, the rest will fall to canabalism.

I'll have to see if I can get baby brine shrimp, I actually want to raise some fish from a spawn for once

Thanks CFC, I hope I can get a decent amount to grow to a good size, if not, the parents will spawn again, and again, and again. The big mogurnda in my avatar is useless for spawning, I rely on my 4 juvies :p
