Modifying Light System On Juwel Rekord 120

Ok, We are giving this tank an overhaul. Got it 2nd hand for peanuts, so can't complain, but I want to mod the lighting system to carry 2 tubes, to give better overall lighting. Has anyone done this or something similar before?

Here is a thread. The topic is actually about the Rekord 70, however the Rekord 120 is very similar and the general idea is the same. See what you think.

thanks it looks to quite similar, I will have to have a good old poke about when I get home and see if it's possible (although it should be). Any more ideas?

Hi,
I've actually replaced that tube (keeping the same fittings) with a power compact, (Triphosphor tube and convertagear starter unit) Much more light output.
