Mixing Salts Ok?

Hello all, is it ok to mix salts?

and also, can tangs live on just flakes? if not what else do they eat?

i mix my salts cozz i buy water red sea coral pro at 1.021 and up it to 26 with tropic marin. And my regal tang eats pellets and frozen foods, never tried algae sheets with him although i got them

Most tangs normally need some algae of some sort to browse on. Nori sheets are a good choice.

I cant see any reason why you cant use two different types of salt. I have heard of people that use two brands and alternate between them when doing water changes as one brand is high in some things (ie mag) while the other brand is higher in others (ie calc).
