Mixing Neons?

Hi all and Merry Christmas! Just a quickie. i have a 13 gallon (imperial) tank which I am setting up after Christmas. I am thinking to put in tetras and cories and 2 ADF's. My questions is, can you mix Tetras to creat a shoal or do they need to be with their own type? I will have 5 in the tank I think.

If you are having just five it is best to keep it with the same species,
what kind of tetra are you planning on getting?

In a larger shoal you could of mixed but as already stated for that size its not worth it, also you may find they dont really schoal together that much as its a defensive thing and they are unlikely to feel threatend in that tank.

if you're considering neons i would personaly go for cardinals that look exatly the same apart from they are more brightly coulered that neons.
glowlites are also very pretty though
