I am new to Guppy/livebearing fish keeping. I saved 5 Guppy Fry 2+ weeks ago and put them in their own 6.6 gallon tank. I just saved 4 more today that were born some time in the last 2 days. The new Fry are definately smaller than the ones I saved 2+ weeks ago. Can I put them in the same tank at this point 2 Week + Fry & Newer Fry or am I stuck buying yet another small tank?

Also, at what point can I put the Fry back in the adult tank?

You can probably put them together. It's not a huge age or size difference.

The general rule of thumb, is when they are too big to fit in the biggest fish's mouth. If you have aggressive fish, you may want to wait a bit after that too. :)

Congrats on the kiddos! :good:

ive put guppy fry that have been a month old in with new born guppy fry...they will be fine...just keep your eye on the sexes, seperate the females asap otherwise you will have big probs like i did!!

That's what I went ahead with. I put the new borns in with the 1 month old. it attracted their interest for a little while and then they got bored of chasing the smaller FRy and now they are mostly just a happy go lucky bunch.

By the way, the 4 new FRYs turned into about 20+ new FRYs. Someone in the aquarium took Labor Day a little too literally. :shout:

THANKS!
