I have heard a lot of discussion on mixing piranah with Oscar Cichlids. I am wondering if anyone has had any success? My fish guy is telling me that I should be successful with the combination however I am concerned that the Piranah will hurt or kill my Oscars. My fish guy is telling me that I should have success because my Oscars are juvenile (2.5 inches) and he is setting me up with two small Piranah's (2 inches). I also have a 4 inch clown knife with the Oscars and they're getting along just fine. It's intersting to watch them. The Clown is unsure where he wants his territory to be yet, sometimes barging on on my Albino Tiger Oscars cave.

My fish guy also told me that I could mix my Silver Dollars with the Piranah. He informed me that if I was planning on doing it, I should when I introduce the piranah to with the Oscars. The Silver Dollars are still juvenile, but they're two different sizes. (I have two red hooks at 2 inches and two at 3.5 inches)

Any advice will be greately appreciated! :good:

I would experiement with it, and give it a go!

One of my mates used to have a baby shark, and 20 or so neon's amongst other fish, and nothing ever happend to them!

:)

i know that piranha and silver dollars exist in the wild together, in fact, the piranhi when young stay with sds for safety, until they can defend themselves.

in regard the oscar...sorry dude, as another member said, 'a big, no no!'
