Well ok mad u may think i am, and in some respects yes. however time after time at 2 LFS i have seen dwarf angles being mixed eg selling tanks and display tanks no bigger then 65 gallons. So i had a chat with the manager and he claims u can do it. So i was intreged needless to say.
Now i have a mix between a half black and elibi. He said bring him in and ill try and mix one for you (going on sizes and general characteristics) i asked for a flame angle as i love them think they are really nice.

So off "kim" went for a weekend.

Came back on monday after 3 nights at the lfs to find he had mixed the pair, now ofcourse they fought a bit at start he said (and u you could see by the fin nipping) but then learnt to tollerate eachother. But atm they are in my 55 swiming fine, now yes if they get near each other they will warn one another but no fighting one bit. Im amazed now i know its dangerous and im prepared to take one back if it gets too bad (which i will) But its amazing to try it!

I just thought id like give u an idea of wot ive been up too and ill keep it updated. I mean if summit goes wrong my fault etc but i think its worth a shot

It can definitely be done. USUALLY the tank size limit for two dwarf angels is 75gallons and I'm somewhat surprised you're making it work in a 55. If they can deal with it, then you're in luck ;)

well its good to see people aint having ago, just for thier colours and u usually can only have one i think its a great worth try! their fins are re pairing from the fights at the lfs now and looking well, ill try get some pics soon!

It can be onde.. risky but can be done. I had 2 dwarf angels living quite happily in a meer 40 gallons.

I would recomend +70 gallons though for more than 1 dwarf angel.

55 uk gallons its 64 or 67 in us gallons

I was referring to 70 UK Imperial gallons

I have had a eibli and a bi-color in a 55 gal. with no troubles.
