Ok well, I have 2 bronze corys and they're susposed to be in groups of 6+. If I were to get 4 peppered cories would it have the same effect as getting 4 bronze cories? Would they travel together as if they were the same species?

Thanks

I believe so. In social species they will tend to shoal even with fish not of their specific species. Alot of people have tetra tanks like this and it always seems to work

I've got 6 julli cories and 2 panda cories (soon to be another 4 before anyone whines at me, it's only temporary) They ocasionally sit together and they don't mind each other - but they don't shoal together either. The jullis stay with the jullis and the pandas stay with the pandas. I used to have 6 of each and it was exactly the same then - they don't mind each other, but they stayed in their own groups.

If the bronze corries wont shaol with the peppered corries then I probeley won't mix them.

Also, if my 2 corries are very large and I get 4 very small ones. Will they get along nicely as 6 of the same size ones would? Would they shaol?

Yeah, we recently added 3 small young jullis to my team of big fat ancient ones and they accepted each other immediatley.
